During our process we will also make you think about your own organization. Perhaps this process will serve as a confirmation that you are already exactly on the right track. But even more likely is that we will find a few new ideas and opportunities in which direction you can take your organization.
Who do we serve?
Generally speaking our purpose is to help organizations with their brand and their branding materials. These can be businesses or nonprofit organizations. Our focus is on organizations with at least 5 employees. Usually we get into contact with our clients during times of a need for brand establishment. So those could be startups or scale-ups, but also more established organizations that want to (re)establish themselves are our type of customers.
Although there certainly will be exceptions out there to prove the rule, we tend not to work for smaller organizations or private people.
How do we approach that?
We start with listening to our (potential) customer’s problem and start to think how to solve it. After that we put together a plan of approach and a corresponding quote. And then, after we’ve realized the project, we can collect the feedback from the end users, learn from that and incorporate that into improving the brand further and further.
What makes us different?
We believe in honesty and genuineness, and therefore we take a client centered approach (as opposed to a target audience centered approach). It is our task to distill the organization’s brand by looking at its workers and core values. We believe an organization is made by its people and the brand should be a genuine reflection of that. You cannot pretend to be something that you are not. You certainly shouldn’t. Of course we don’t ignore the target audience, but it is our strong belief that brands can only be successful if the brands’ workers and the brands’ target audiences are in some way compatible. They need to understand each other.
Isn’t the brand what the customers say it is?
Yes. But what your customers think you cannot control. But you can have some control over your organization’s behavior. And in the end, your organization’s (visual and other) behavior shapes the brand your customers will have in their minds. The brand development process will help the whole organization understand what it is about and this – in turn – will help your customer to understand the identity of your organization.
